All the above mentioned products protect the coils in the most aggressive environments and in the most peculiar applications. The products are flexible to resist the thermal expansions and contractions, are UV resistant and dirt repellent, mechanically strong and with very limited exchange losses (about 2%). Practically no negative effects on pressure drop on the air side. The technical characteristics and the safety data of AiAX Coatings protections are included in two different documents type that can be downloaded in this section.
AiAX Silver Flow FL10K - AiAX Silver Spray KL10K
Anticorrosion protection specific for finned pack heat exchangers. Recommended for all thicknesses of the finned pack. Application is possible both for ”Flooding Method” and spraying procedure.
AA Aqua Aero
Anticorrosion protection specific for heat exchangers. Particularly designed for Microchannel exchangers. Application is possible with spraying procedure.
PXX10K Panelcoat
Anticorrosion protection specifically studied to cover metal panels attacked by corrosion.It can be applied over powder paint, on corroded surfaces and also on protection grilles.It is a two components product, polyurethane based and modified with epossidic/acrilic additives combining a good resistance to chemical attack with a smooth and flexible and dirt repellent surface. Easy to apply also on the site of installation of the equipment.
PXPP Pancoat
Anticorrosion protection specifically studied for the drain pans or the bottom panels of various units where there is a concentration of polluting/oxidizing products. It is a self levelling product with a heavy thickness and a glass smooth surface, easy to clean and to hygienize.It is a two component product , rhesin based and with characteristics similar to floor cladding products.
Flooding process
The anticorrosion protection AiAX Silver Flow has been expressly studied to be applicable by flooding. The “Flooding Method” guarantees the penetration in depth of the finned pack and therfore is a valid defense against the galvanic corrosion and the corrosion caused by accumulation of polluting elements. The “Flooding Method” is much easier than the high pressure method and eliminates the possibility of mistakes by the operators. After the flooding of the whole finned pack it is advisable to have a further protection by spraying to cover the fin edge with the product AiAX Silver Spray, perfectly compatible with the flooding product. The fins, in fact have a thickness of less than 200 micron and therefore a limited support surface of the coating. The fin edge is exposed to the air entry into the coil and can be subject to erosion from small particles carried by the air (sand ,etc.).
The 3 year warranty in Italy, offered by AiAX Italia srl can be extended up to a maximum of 12 years if a maintenance contract is stipulated with AiAX certified personnel.
The main phases of the flooding process are:
> coil washing and degreasing;
> application of an aluminium conversion layer;
> application with the flooding method of the product for a complete penetration of finned packs of any commercial thickness;
> final spraying touch-up for a double protection of the fin edge (critical point of the corrosion attack).
The time of curing of the protection is of about 60 minutes with a thickness over the fin edge of about 25 micron. No smell deriving from solvents being a water based product.
